Job Opportunity - Sunday Farmers Market Manager

The Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce own and operate the award-winning Sunday Farmers Markets which run every weekend in the Central Mall of the Kalamunda shopping district.

We are seeking a Weekend Market Manager to oversee operations, assist with set up, identify opportunities for growth and handle marketing and publicity .

The fresh food markets attract a regular crowd seeking to buy locally grown, fresh produce for their kitchen table.

This role will not only oversee the Sunday operations but coordinate the selection of stallholders, and work on a strategy to work with permanent retail and hospitality shops in the mall to increase foot-traffic, making them part of the market experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Coordinate and manage weekend operations of the market;
* Management of staff, volunteers and stallholders;
* Selection process and stallholder allocation and market layout;
* OHS & Insurance Compliance;
* Identify further marketing opportunities and areas for growth;
*Management of stallholder, local business and community stakeholder relationships;
*Marketing, publicity and tracking of customer satisfaction and visitation numbers.

The successful candidate will have:
* Experience in events management or in a market environment;
* Understanding of compliance and regulation requirements around food, public safety and responsible behavior;
* Excellent interpersonal skills;
* Leadership skills;
* Commercial acumen in budgeting and reporting;
* Business development skills;
* Marketing skills;
* Availability to work every Sunday with an early start.

20 hours per week
$30 per hour (plus super)
Permanent part-time
Immediate start
