Board and Management 2017

President: Caroline Babbage

  Caroline Babbage

I envisage a strong and dynamic committee committed to actively seeking out members’ needs and opinions. The appointment to the Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce Committee of at least one representative from the following groups, Tourism, Trades, Retail and Services within the KCC will ensure a balanced focus benefiting all members. Members will have an appropriate representative on the committee to ensure all members’ voices are heard.

Kalamunda is uniquely positioned both in terms of its environment and its proximity to a rapidly growing Perth. Through a managed approach, working with stakeholders such as the Shire of Kalamunda, Tourism Western Australia and the Eastern Metropolitan Council a successful well led Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce will benefit all local businesses.

At a personal level I have gained valuable business experience over the past 13 years through the very successful establishment of Fawkes House Country Spa Retreat. Award winners for the past seven years locally, Fawkes House recently was also awarded Silver in the Hosted Accommodation 2015 Western Australia Tourism Awards.

I am looking forward to an exciting 2016 representing members’ interests, and developing a strong, inclusive, open and transparent KCC to benefit all businesses and the wider community of the Shire of Kalamunda.
