Carbon Neutral Programme

With sustainability as one of our key values as a chamber, and the environment being a key issue facing us all, we undertook to find a way for our members to access information and products that help reduce their carbon footprint (the amount of carbon emissions produced by the operation of a business or household.) Through an introduction, we met Carbon Neutral, a not-for-profit organisation that works closely with Men of the Trees, and that helps businesses assess and offset their harmful carbon emissions through a tree planting program.

Offsetting carbon emissions is not only good for the environment, but can save a business money.

The Chamber is proud to be associated with Carbon Neutral, and have a strategic alliance in place to encourage all businesses with the Shire of Kalamunda to offset their carbon emissions. Any business that does so will receive positive exposure through various local media, as co-ordinated by the Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce.
