Nature

Kalamunda and its surrounding areas are host to many wonderful natural delights.  Wildflowers abound the valleys and ridges in all colours of the rainbow, including the brilliant blue Lechenaultia biloba (the floral emblem of Kalamunda).  With masses of flowers forming a colourful carpet during the warmer spring months. 

With the Shire of Kalamunda made up of varying geological facades including deep ridges and steep hills running into valleys and creeks.  The everchanging landscape is made up of eucalypts, sheoaks, native grass trees (blackboys), and many wonderful species of wildflowers.
