Visit the Bickley Harvest Festival

Every year, a tiny corner of the Perth Hills puts on its finest for the Bickley Harvest Festival — a celebration of the unique tastes, sights and sounds that make this region like nowhere else in Western Australia. Discover award-winning wines, spirits and ciders poured by the producers themselves, exceptional food made from local produce and scenery that stops you in your tracks. Whether you’re a longtime Hills local or arriving for the first time, this is the kind of day that reminds you what weekends are actually for.

Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce – Partnering with Tourism WA Metro Events Program and local sponsors to bring you a special month in the Bickley Valley.

Now in its 26th year, the Bickley Harvest Festival returns throughout May 2026, transforming the Bickley Valley into a month-long celebration of local produce, boutique craftsmanship and the breathtaking autumn landscape of the Perth Hills — just a short drive from the city, yet a world away in feel.

The festival opens with a grand celebration weekend featuring a hop-on hop-off shuttle connecting the valley’s best venues, where visitors can sip and savour their way between cellar doors, cider houses, distilleries and forest-fringed dining destinations. Highlights this year include bold new culinary experiences at Hainault @ Carmel, a series of much-anticipated pop-up events at the beloved Chalet Rigi ahead of its reopening, and innovative new releases at Plume Estate — home to Australia’s first commercial vitivoltaic vineyard. Myattsfield brings live music, arts and crafts alongside its award-winning Spanish and French varietals, while Carmel Distillery releases its famous Nocino green walnut liqueur — a festival favourite that regularly sells out on opening weekend.

Beyond the glass, the festival celebrates the creative soul of the valley. Local artists open their studio doors, the heritage-listed Perth Observatory hosts night-sky tours, astronomy talks and astrophotography workshops, and the Perth Sky Sculpture Park offers an exclusive early preview of works by some of Australia’s most impressive sculptors. Families are well catered for, with relaxed dining, minigolf and family-friendly events at venues throughout the valley.
