Kalamunda Out of School Centre (KOSC) is a not-for-profit Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service based in the Perth Hills, providing before school care, after school care and vacation care for primary school-aged children. KOSC has been operating since 1988, supporting families in the local community for over 35 years.
We service a number of local schools, providing reliable and consistent care that supports working families and the wider community.
At KOSC, we offer a safe, inclusive and engaging environment where children can relax, play and participate in a wide range of activities including sport, creative arts, cooking, outdoor play and group games. Our programs are guided by the My Time, Our Place framework and are designed to support children’s wellbeing, social development and sense of belonging.
What makes KOSC unique is our strong connection to the local community and natural environment. We incorporate nature-based play, sustainability initiatives and local cultural learning into our programs, including projects such as bush tucker garden, Black Cockatoo Garden and recycling initiatives.
Our team is made up of dedicated, long-serving educators, supported by an active parent management committee who play an important role in the governance and direction of the service. Together, they bring a wealth of experience, consistency and community knowledge, building strong, trusted relationships with children and families.
We prioritise creating a welcoming, community-focused environment where every child feels valued, supported and part of the service.
